NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS4A00 compatible 1.6T OSFP DR8 Twin-port 2x 800G DR4 transceiver module supports a max data rate of 1600 Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 500m over single-mode fiber (SMF) with dual MPO-12 APC connectors. Hooptic manufactured 1.6T 2x DR4 OSFP complies with IEEE802.3dj D1p3:1.6TBASE-DR8 optical interface, IEEE802.3dj D1p3:1.6TAUI-8 C2M electrical interface, OSFP MSA Specification Rev 5.1 RHS type 2, CMIS Rev 5.3 and EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS compliant).

DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 1.6T fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the DR8 OSFP achieves 1600 Gigabit Ethernet through 8 channels 200G PAM4.

The 1.6T DR8 OSFP supports both Ethernet and InfiniBand XDR end-to-end systems. Designed for supercomputing and HPC, this 1.6T OSFP transceiver is widely used for linking two switches up to 500 meters or to connect the 1.6T end to two breakout 800G switches or adpter cards for compute servers or storage infrastructure. Besides, OSFP-RHS with flat-top design is used in Quantum-3 liquid-cooled switches.
